Children's Ministry
Children’s Ministry: HCC Children’s Ministry is about helping you, as parents, “bring up your children in the Lord”. It is about children knowing Jesus.
Ministry Leaders: HCC Children's Ministry leaders are comprised of Team Leaders, Class Teachers, and Teen Workers. The Team Leaders are David & Jerrie Haffner, Greg Rich, Mike & Lori Chambers, Chris & Jenni Borski, & Connie Cloyd.
HCC Classes: Our “Cradle Roll" classes are for 0-2 yr olds. The “Children’s Wing" classes are for 3yr olds thru 4th grade, and our “Pre-Teen" class is for 5th & 6th grades who meet in a special room called the "Preteen Hollow".
Teachers: Our teachers are wonderful with children. They assure a happy and healthy atmosphere for children in their classrooms. Their teaching methods include a varity of ways to connect with each child and provide a fun & safe experience too! Sign Language is used to include our deaf children with our hearing children.
Large Group Teaching: The “Large Group” teaching concept grew into what is known as “Son-Rise Valley” for the 3 – 5 year olds, and “Son-Rise Crossing” for 1 – 6th grades. During the adult sermon, the children are escorted to their large group classes. These classrooms are special rooms where singing, prayer, teaching through drama skits, puppet skits, object lessons, and Bible knowledge reviews occur. Teens who are in the 7th - 12 grades, may choose to co-teach in this ministry. The vision and purpose of this part of the ministry is to train and teach teens how to teach Jesus to others.
