COOKBOOK FOR M.O.W.
Many people have asked when they will be able to purchase our cookbooks, which is very encouraging. This is the format I hope to use for our cookbook to raise funds for the walk-in cooler/ freezer to be installed next to the kitchen in the multipurpose building. If you have recipes you would like to contribute, please indicate which season or holiday they will go under. I would very much like to have this ready for sale by next Christmas or before.
I still have and use the “North to Alaska” cook book sold by the Boy Scout Troop at Madison Church of Christ twenty or more years ago. Cook books become a treasure trove of memories and are worth every penny spent on them. If you have already sent in recipes, look again and think about each season or holiday and add to the list. Be sure to sing your name to each recipe you send in. They may be dropped off at the office or given to me. We will also need some volunteers to help with the assembling of the books etc. We have the best cooks around here at Hermitage, so, let’s put our talents to work.
Elaine Eason has volunteered to help do the cookbook so if you have recipes to contribute, you can give them to Elaine or me.
Thanks for your help, --- Nalene Hughes
